Think of what would happen if you ran your car for 30+ years without changing its oil, its filters, vacuuming it, washing its windows...it wouldn’t be very comfortable inside, and it wouldn’t run very well. Your body is a vehicle. We’ve all been taught to take meticulous care of our exterior body, by washing our hair, brushing our teeth and cutting our nails. Yet how many of us were taught how to cleanse our insides?
Most of the food readily available to us today is simply not good for us. We are animals, and our food comes from Nature, infused with energy from the Sun, and nutrients from the Water and Soil. Potato chips, ice cream, hot dogs, candy bars and pizza do not appear in Nature! The farther in distance your food is from its natural alive state, the less life force energy is in it. It may be labeled as containing vitamins and minerals, but if it’s been sitting on a shelf or in a freezer for a year, it’s dead food!
Nature has already provided us with our perfect food. At one time, the whole earth was a garden, fed by the Sun and watered by the Rain. Our modern habits of growing grains, fruits and vegetables with chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides is not natural. Our methods of raising cattle, pigs and chickens in confined spaces, injecting them with steroids and antibiotics and feeding them chemically-grown grain is not natural. Somewhere along the line we were convinced that artificial methods of food production are better. But are they?
With cancer rates on the rise and much of the Western world struggling with obesity, depression, asthma, diabetes and heart problems, we look at the other animals and see they are not suffering these problems. We’ve created an artificial system to depend on, and a great deal of our soil and water are now polluted. We create chemicals in our laboratories to spray on the land, inject into our food and ourselves, and then we take more chemicals to suppress the symptoms of our illnesses. In all of this our animal body suffers a great deal.
A lifetime of heavily processed, low-energy food takes a toll on your body and weakens its systems of digestion, circulation, and detoxification. Taking some time to cleanse your internal body will lessen the toxic load on your internal organs and help your body regenerate itself.
One of the most satisfying experiences in the healing process is to cleanse the elimination system. You will be shocked to see the accumulation of toxic debris you will shed from your entire digestive system. The authors have found that after internal cleansing, they feel fantastic! The parasite cleanse will shock you, and you will likely feel a great relief from depression, as well as relief from skin problems such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. The colon plaque cleanse rids you of negative emotions and you will likely experience spontaneous eruptions of joy! This is a wonderful process you can do for yourself. Get rid of all that accumulated waste inside of you! Feel better!
Cleansing the Colon
The first phase of internal cleansing is to begin by cleansing debris from the colon. Many factors contribute to the accumulation of debris within the digestive tract. A healthy digestion relies on appropriate intestinal flora, clear passage through the system, and direct contact between the ingested food and the intestinal lining for extraction of nutrients. Understand then, that if you have killed off your helpful flora with antibiotic use, and are feeding yeast colonies through consumption of bread and alcohol, you will develop a sluggish digestion and constipation. Similarly, if you are consuming cooked meat, and/or not chewing your food well before swallowing, you are putting a great strain on your digestive tract by filling it with material that is very difficult to break down. As a result of these two common conditions of yeast overgrowth and underdigested food, the colon will accumulate waste and have difficulty excreting toxic material from the body. Ingesting dairy products causes the body to produce mucous. In addition, the digestive tract produces mucous whenever it is fed unnatural foods, in order to protect itself. A continuous production of mucous due to the consumption of dairy, fried, and processed food lines the colon and solidifies into what is known as mucoid plaque. This rubbery build-up coats the interior of the intestines and interferes with nutrient absorption. Left untreated over time, pockets of undigested food and mucoid plaque fill in the soft folds of the colon. These toxic buildups become breeding grounds for parasites such as ascaris (roundworm) and enterobius (pinworm) and if left long enough, the buildup areas can bulge out portions of the colon resulting in serious conditions requiring surgery.
What You Can Do
There are five key components which much be addressed to convert your toxic colon into a healthy, functioning elimination system as it is meant to be:
To clear out accumulated debris, you will need to take an herbal compilation, easily found at your local health food store. Typically these products combine a variety of herbs that have laxative qualities, such as senna, cascara sagrada, or triphala along with a fibre for sweeping out the colon such as psyillium or flax seed. Many of these preparations also include herbs with anti-parasitic functions such as black walnut, artemesia, or pau d’arco, however, it is advisable to do a full and separate parasite cleanse in addition to a basic colon cleanse for maximum results. Separate parasite cleanses can be found in your local health food store or purchased from health resources on-line. The most successful protocol for internal cleansing is to clean the colon of debris first, follow with a parasite cleanse, and when you are ready to go a little deeper into the cleansing practice, embark upon a more challenging cleanse to strip the digestive tract of mucoid plaque.
To cleanse the digestive tract of mucoid plaque, one must have already done at least a few colon cleanses in order for the treatment to be effective. A mucoid plaque cleanse demands more willpower, as one must fast for the duration of the cleanse, as well as avoid problem foods such as coffee, yeast-containing foods, sugar, hard-to-digest food (meat), and processed food. Realizing that the mucoid plaque has provided a barrier between the sensitive digestive tract and unnatural foods that are irritants, it requires that the individual be committed to serious dietary changes in order to be successful. Stripping away the mucoid plaque and then continuing to eat a diet high in sugars, bread and alcohol, for example, is counterproductive and will only precipitate further candida infection. If one is serious about their body’s health and longevity, they will need to make sacrifices in order to wean themselves off food addictions which ultimately cause harm to the body’s sensitive systems. A mucoid plaque cleanse restores vitality to the body, clears the skin, and reduces toxic load on the organs. It is a challenge with great rewards. An internet search will turn up a host of viable products to support you in undertaking this cleanse at home, and there are cleansing retreats available for those who prefer to undergo deep cleansing in an environment of mentorship and support.
It is essential to follow up any colon, parasite, or mucoid plaque cleanse with long-term probiotic supplementation, in order to establish a healthy colony of living organisms that combat yeast and parasitic infection, while supporting your optimum health and digestion. For newbies, try organic yoghurt, kefir, and probiotic caplets found in the chilled section of your local health food store. For the more daring, try adding kombucha, raw goat cheese, soil micro-organisms, and live, organic fermented foods such as kimchee and sauercraut to your diet to boost your levels of healthy microorganisms. It may seem too obvious to mention, but it is extremely important to chew your food! These days, we are all so busy, we often find ourselves grabbing something as we run out the door, or eating while our mind is focused on another task. Your digestive tract does not have teeth, and you have molars for a reason: if you do not properly mash your food, your digestion will not be able to extract optimum nutrition from your food and will have more difficulty passing its waste material. So please remember to chew your food until it is completely broken down before you swallow it. As you progress closer and closer toward your ultimate health, remember to increase the amounts of living, organic foods you introduce into your body, always working to eliminate chemically-treated, processed and dead sources of food. If you can implement these cleansing practices into your life, you will incur less illness, avoid serious disease caused by toxic overload on the body's eliminatory systems, and enjoy a healthier, longer life.
To your ever-abundant health!
